Who is Rishi Sunak?

 Rishi Sunak is a British politician who served as Chancellor of the Exchequer from 2020 to 2022, having previously served as Chief Secretary of the Treasury from 2019 to 2020. He has been a member of the Conservative Party and has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Richmond.

 Born to Indian parents of Indian-origin Punjabi parents who moved from South Africa to Southampton, Sunak was educated at Winchester College. He later studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) at Lincoln College, Oxford, and later did his MBA from Stanford University as a Fulbright Scholar.  Sunak and Murthy are the 222nd richest men in Britain, with a net worth of £730m as of 2022.[1] After graduating, they worked for Goldman Sachs and later for hedge fund firms The Children's Investment Fund Management and Thelem Partners. Elected to Richmond (York) in the 2015 general election, he served in Theresa May's second government as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Local Government Theresa May. He voted three times in favor of the Brexit withdrawal agreement. After Theresa May resigned, Sunak was a supporter of Boris Johnson's campaign to become Conservative leader. After Johnson was elected and appointed prime minister, he appointed Sunak as Chief Secretary to the Treasury. Sunak replaced Sajid Javid as the Chancellor of the Exchequer following his resignation in February 2020.

  'The Sunday Telegraph' reports that a JL Partners poll of more than 4,400 people found that 48 percent of those who supported the Tories in the 2019 general election felt the British Indian former chancellor would be a good prime minister.
